Total playing time 57:06 Audiobook (Hardcover) Nach dem großen Erfolg der Produktion mit Song Zuying und dem China Philharmonic Orchestra (Grammy-Nominierung 2015) arbeitete Stockfisch-Records nun erneut mit einem großen Symphonieorchester zusammen. Denn ein weiteres Projekt mit dem englischen Altmeister des Songwritings, Allan Taylor, wurde in die Tat umgesetzt: »There Was a Time«. Die Geschichte dazu: Allan hatte schon häufiger auf einem bekannten italienischen Folk-Festival in der Nähe der Stadt Udine gespielt. Dadurch kam der Kontakt zu dem Komponisten, Dirigenten und Arrangeur Valter Sivilotti zustande. Dieser fand großen Gefallen daran, ausgewählte Songs von Allan für Symphonieorchester zu arrangieren. Valter und Allan arbeiteten intensiv zusammen und diese Kooperation gipfelte 2013 in einem Livekonzert mit einem italienischen Orchester in Spilimbergo. Günter Pauler hörte ein Livemitschnitt-Demo dieser Aufführung und war begeistert von dem Projekt: Allan’s Songs mit großem Orchester. Das Northeimer Label engagierte das Göttinger Symphonie Orchester unter seinem agilen und experimentierfreudigen Dirigenten Christoph-Mathias Mueller, lud Valter Sivilotti und Allan Taylor nach Göttingen ein – und eine faszinierende und emotionsgeladene Produktion entstand. Allan Taylor schreibt zu dieser Aufnahme: »What you hear on this SACD is the product of great technical and artistic expertise on the part of Stockfisch Records. I wrote some of these songs many years ago, but I hope you enjoy the experience of hearing them in an orchestral setting. À la "Live at Leeds", "Frampton Comes Alive" etc. I feel these four live Chickenfoot tracks do just that. Especially "Something Going Wrong". If it were 20 years ago when DJs were allowed to play what they wanted to play, this song would be a hit at rock radio. There's magic there, check it out.
