The album contains hidden messages on the inserts that are viewable by placing the blue vinyl record over the message. On the first insert, it says "yellow and blue = green" which is how one can read these messages. The messages can also be viewed through the transparent blue CD case on the CD version of the album. The running order is unique to this format, reflecting the division of the tracks into distinct albums: 'Mechanical Animals' by Marilyn Manson, and 'Omega and the Mechanical Animals', which is presented as a production by Manson's alter ego Omega, who appears on the sleeve of the second LP.
