The album contains hidden messages on the inserts that are viewable by placing the blue vinyl record over the message. On the first insert, it says "yellow and blue = green" which is how one can read these messages. The messages can also be viewed through the transparent blue CD case on the CD version of the album. The running order is unique to this format, reflecting the division of the tracks into distinct albums: 'Mechanical Animals' by Marilyn Manson, and 'Omega and the Mechanical Animals', which is presented as a production by Manson's alter ego Omega, who appears on the sleeve of the second LP. Special thanks to: Danny Saber, Billy Corgan, Dust Bros., Jess Anderson, Tom Whalley, John Ciulla, Alex Kochan, Jay Sendyk, David Codikow, Zepp, Aaron and everyone. Two separate single pocket sleeves with their respective catalogue number on the spine. The first sleeve for the opaque white vinyl has a white hype sticker plus an advisory sticker. The second sleeve for the transparent blue vinyl has a red hype sticker. Each includes a glossy 10"x10" picture/ lyric insert, printed on both sides. Discs held in die cut white paper inners with deeply curved corners. Pressed in the USA by MCA. Track numbering features on the hype stickers only. Numbered sequentially across sides A, B - 1 to 7 and then across sides C, D - 1 to 7.

SVLP 055, SVLP-055 on sleeve. SVLP 0055 on labels. Official release. Gatefold sleeve. There is a hologram sticker on the reverse upper left. 180g virgin vinyl discs held in plain inners. Copies may come with an A4 catalogue insert, printed on both sides. The package was not shrink-wrapped, but came in a PVC outer cover with a flap which is embossed with the label insignia. Affixed to this are a silver or gold foil rectangular hype sticker, and a circular sealing sticker. This version has "shock symbol" center labels.
