Engineered and Mixed at the Magpie Cage, Baltimore, MD, March & April 2009. Mastered at Chicago Mastering Service. This double vinyl edition of "Strange Cousins From the West" comes with a special dropcard with a "one time use" secret code which enables the buyer to digitally download all 12 songs included on the double vinyl package (courtesy Weathermaker Music, The Syndicate and Pro-Rock.com). This release features a die-cut tri-fold sleeve with gold foil printing and metallic foil inner sleeves. Track A2 is the extended version. Track C1 is a previously unreleased bonus track.

Special note: Due to a drugged out related error on the Liquid Sound Company's fault, Side 2 of this record has the song order reversed. Preparation for the Psychedelic Eucharist / Inside the Acid Temple is actually the first track on side B and Unfolding the second track. With the barcode and catalogue number, this is the German edition (German track titles and "Seite"). The [url=/release/16029221]European/English edition[/url] has another barcode and catalogue number. On some copies, the track "Die Roboter" appears to have a manufacturing defect, which causes the needle to skip. Digital Master ℗ + © 2009 Ralf Hütter/Kraftwerk Remastered reissue of the 1991 album but released with an additional 20-page photo booklet and printed inner sleeves.

Originally scheduled to be released on vinyl in 1995, these test pressings of Gore Motel were made. There were approximately ten copies of the test pressing. As a result of production issues with the cover/artwork/outer box, the release was delayed. Memphis Tonträgerproduktion GmbH went bankrupt in 1996, resulting in the loss of the original DMM lacquers meant to be used for the vinyl edition. Commercial vinyl editions of these lacquers were never produced. It took ten years for the label to release the album on vinyl with newly cut lacquers in 2005.
