Michel Petrucciani's live performance at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz, California, in 1987 is a remarkable snapshot of the pianist at the height of his creative powers. Joined by legendary bassist Dave Holland and drummer Eliot Zigmund, Petrucciani delivers an inspired set that balances lyrical sensitivity with dazzling technical command. Transferred from the original analog tapes and meticulously restored and mastered by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab, this recording captures the intimate atmosphere of one of California’s most iconic jazz venues. The limited-edition 180-gram 2-LP set includes rare photographs from the performance and newly commissioned liner notes.
