Technical notes: tracking was done on a Fostex B-16 using Scotch 996 tape. A Mackie 1604 board was used to track and mix. Mikes were AKG 414; Sennheiser 421 and Beyer 260 ribbon, along with 57’s and 58’s. Everything was played realtime, no sequencing whatsoever, although some songs were built from analogue tape loops or ambient beds transferred via an EPS 16+ sampler. Mixdown was on Urei 809’s to Panasonic and Sony DAT. Dynamic processing was Valley and Symetrix. All effects were old analogue i.e. Roland Space Echo; Tube Echoplex; Spring reverb and „Thee Gristleizer“ analogue processor (the only exception being an Effectron 1024 delay). Editing was executed with Sound Designer 2 on a Mac 2Ci using a 1.7 gig Maxtor drive.<\/p>\n
